About the Role
- Produce accurate preliminary and sketch designs for single and double-storey residential homes in line with company standards and client briefs.
- Prepare drawings suitable for planning and prestart stages, ensuring alignment with NCC, R-Codes, shire requirements, and developer covenants.
- Work closely with internal admin, design, and estimating teams to achieve timely and high-quality client outcomes.
- Liaise with engineers, energy assessors, and surveyors to coordinate and confirm design information.
- Manage design amendments and revisions resulting from client feedback or compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation while meeting internal lead-time expectations.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in all design documentation.
- Solid understanding of NCC, Residential Design Codes, and relevant Australian Standards.
- Ability to interpret DAPs, LDPs, and structural information.
- Good knowledge of residential construction methods and buildability.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Confident producing clear, buildable sketch and preliminary designs.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently or within a small team.
