Residential & Commercial Construction
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established residential and commercial construction company seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their accounting career within the construction industry.
The Role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant will support the day-to-day finance function and contribute to accurate financial reporting across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Processing invoices, supplier payments, and expense claims
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Supporting month-end procedures and reporting
- Assisting with payroll preparation
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Liaising with internal teams and external suppliers as required
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance support role
- Experience working in the Construction Industry
- Relevant qualification or currently studying (e.g. Certificate IV, Diploma, or Degree in Accounting)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Confident with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
